What do we do after we win?

Posted February 16th, 2010 by Jeff

While it may be a bit premature, there is a general acknowledgment amongst political pundits that the November elections this year are going demonstrate a powerful and perhaps never seen political shift in American politics. The Tea Party movement is the major reason this is happening, leading to the curious question mused by Chip Hanlon at Red County today http://www.redcounty.com/tea-partiers-beware-perpetual-jihad/36843?taxonomy=26 entitled “Tea Partiers: Beware Perpetual Jihad” asking “what are you going to do when elected officials start doing what you ask of them?

Well the answer is simple, continually hold their feet to the fire!

The power of the "Tea Party Effect"

Posted December 16th, 2009 by Jeff

The powerful, limited government revolution sweeping America in the form of the tea parties has been pooh poohed, dissed, ridiculed by the left and the establishment political class ever since the April 15th events of this year. But no longer.

Why you ask? It is simple really. The true deniers of the left and the Republican establishment have gotten a huge wake up call as the Florida US Senate race evolves. Little known conservative Marco Rubio, associated with the Tea Party movement, has come from no where to take the lead against the establishment favorite, Governor Charlie Crist.

I call this stunning development “the Tea Party Effect”

Why the liberals miss Rush's real message.

Rush has  once again brilliantly positioned himself to provide real “hope” and “change” to the soon to be disillusioned masses who put so much faith in the Presidency of Barack Obama as the economy continues to move downward because of the socialist policies of the Prez and the Dems in DC, there is an opportunity during this “crisis” and Rush is not letting it go to “waste” (Rahm Emanuel’s famous comment).

Is it ok to tell little white lies?

I asked this question today on the quickpoll because of the Portland Tribune story about the Sam Adams lying scandal. Is it ok to tell white lies if it is useful and benefits someone? Is there a truthful alternative?

Obama like Reagan?

Pollster Scott Rassmussen has a great editorial in the Wall Street Journal today that clearly lays out the path for Conservatives to regain the political high ground in America and also lays out President Elect Obama’s real dilemma.

He has promised tax cuts for 95% of the American people and now he must deliver.

Why is socialism no longer relevant in public debate?

I continue to be amazed that no one is really talking about the true ideological difference between the two major candidates in the this Presidential election. That real difference socialism, as revealed in Obama’s “spread the wealth around” comment to Joe the plumber.

The Wall Street Journal editorial today hit on a number of themes related to the Olympics being held in China, but one really stood out to me.

Republicans need to regain the public’s trust

Oregon House candidate Matt Lindland is calling for an end to the moratorium on offshore drilling off the Oregon coast and I say “Bravo”!! This issue is ready made for Republicans and could not point out more stark differences between the two parties.
