I owe the Governor an apology (sort of)
Posted July 17th, 2009 by JeffWow! I was wrong folks!
In a stunning surprise announcement the Governor said that he would sign the massive, job killing tax increase bills earlier than we thought, giving us more time to gather signatures to repeal them. I really thought he would take the entire time he possibly could in an effort to thwart our efforts, but I was wrong.
I think.

The Governor’s “reset” of government will take more of your money and freedom.
Posted April 6th, 2009 by JeffThe Governor’s “reset” of government will take more of your money and freedom.
The Oregonian story today about the Governor’s invisibility because he is supposedly hunkered down preparing a plan to radically remake state government has an ominous tone and frankly is mimicking much of what President Obama has been saying for months. Essentially, less freedom and more taxes.

School based health clinics a waste of time and resources
Posted April 10th, 2008 by JeffThe story today about school based health clinics being privately funded illustrates what is wrong with polticially correct public education today and actually adds to the other story out there regarding the increase in high school drop out rates. Schools are spending too much time, energy and resources (money) on issues like primary care clinics instead of focusing on what their core mission is, educating children. The predictable result is the other story today about an increase in dropout rates.
